NeT-ArT.it, uno dei primi portali italiani di arte e fotografia online dal 1995, presenta PhotoMonitor,una directory che raccoglie le migliori risorse disponibili gratuitamente sul web per approfondire la conoscenza della fotografia in tutti i suoi aspetti tecnici, storico-culturali e professionali: una guida ragionata ad internet che si rivolge in particolare agli studenti delle scuole di fotografia e ai fotografi professionisti.
PhotoMonitor offre più di 1000 collegamenti a risorse tecniche (tutorials, lezioni e manuali online, dalla teoria alle tecniche di ripresa e di camera oscura, schede tecniche e istruzioni di materiali e attrezzature fotografiche, strumenti online, calcolatori, tabelle interattive e software), oltre 500 links a risorse culturali (articoli, saggi e testi critici, libri ed e-books, riviste ed e-zines, documentari e video sulla fotografia, musei, gallerie ed associazioni) e centinaia di informazioni per il fotografo professionista (mercato e specializzazioni, legge e fisco, modulistica, contratti e liberatorie, tariffari professionali, indirizzari e contatti utili). PhotoMonitor è curato da David Cirese, docente presso l'Istituto Superiore di Fotografia e Comunicazione Integrata di Roma e direttore del network di NeT-ArT.it

INTRODUCING OURSELVES
The Museum of Computer Art is a nonprofit educational corporation chartered in July, 2005, by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York. In September, 2005, MOCA filed with the IRS for 501(c)(3) tax exempt status and is awaiting that determination.

MOCA accepts no advertising and has no agenda except the promotion of computer art. It is supported by donations and by registration fees. In March, 2006, it inaugurated a new paid subscription service called MOCAccess that provides exclusive online access to all exhibits, pages and features.

MOCA is one of the most heavily-trafficked, comprehensive, frequently-updated and respected computer art museums on the Web. It tries to keep abreast of the latest and best in computer art. Both beginning and advanced artists frequently visit here, if only to see what the competition is doing. We expect it is a learning experience for artists of all skill levels, and for the viewing public as well.

MOCA was established in 1994 by computer artists Don Archer and Bob Dodson to promote computer art in its various forms and manifestations, including 3-D rendered art, fractals, enhanced photography, animation, mixed media, computer-painted and -drawn art, etc. Many talented artists have given us access to their work, and what you see in our archives and current exhibit is some of the best work that we have solicited. Some of it may be of technical or historical interest, some of it may be innovative and unusual, and some of it may have potential (dare we say it) as high art. We hope you agree.
